Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how LogDoc collects, uses and protects information when you use the logdoc.org website, download our software or interact with our services. LogDoc itself is self-hosted software — your log data never leaves your infrastructure.
Data We Collect
We keep collection to the minimum required to operate the project:
How We Use Data
Collected data is used to answer your requests, improve the documentation and prioritize development. We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
Data Retention
Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and then deleted within 12 months. Aggregated analytics contain no personal data and may be kept indefinitely.
Third-Party Services
The website is served via a CDN and releases are hosted on GitHub. When you download binaries or browse the source code, GitHub's own privacy policy applies. The contact form is processed by our form provider solely to deliver your message to us.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to privacy@logdoc.org. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
